Wellness Tip
Do you tend to get pain and congestion in your sinuses during the spring? That congestion can be caused by inflammation in your sinuses.
Take a tablespoon of raw local honey with a drop or two of Copaiba Vitality Essential Oil. Try finding it at your local farmers market but you can also find raw honey at Costco. The closer the honey is made to your community the better the effectiveness.

According to Dr. Axe "Raw honey contains bee pollen, which is known to ward off infections, provide natural allergy relief and boost overall immunity. Honey’s ability to prevent allergies is based on a concept called immunotherapy. The bees in your neighborhood go from flower to flower collecting pollen that causes you to suffer, but when a you consume local raw honey, you also consume that same offending local pollen. After some time, an allergy sufferer may become less sensitive to this pollen that previously caused problems and experience less seasonal allergy symptoms.

Paring local honey with the power of Copaiba can be very beneficial. Steam distilled from the gum resin of the Brazilian copaiba tree, Copaiba Vitality essential oil has a robust, earthy flavor with notes of honey. When taken internally, it can promote overall wellness and may be an important part of a daily health regimen. Historically resin from the copaiba tree has been used for inflammation, to support the respiratory system when applied topically and sinusitus.

Breath Easy
Another great way to help with Seasonal Wellness is to add a few drops of essential oils like R.C. or the oils in the recipes above to a scent stone, pop it in the shower away from the direct stream of water and as the shower steams up it will diffuse the healing benefits of these essential oils into the air so you can breath easy.

Essential Oils
Let's learn a little more about some of the essential oils in the recipes I shared.

Cypress essential oil has a fresh, herbaceous aroma that can promote a sense of security and grounding. Historically the evergreen branches from the cypress tree have been used to support the urinary system, perspiration, menstruation, respiratory support and to support the liver. Try mixing cypress with carrier oil and apply to the chest for support.

Eucalyptus Radiata essential oil comes from the leaves of an evergreen tree native to Australia. Eucalyptus Radiata oil promotes a stimulating and rejuvenating environment anywhere it’s diffused. The soothing scent makes Eucalyptus Radiata the perfect addition to any bedtime routine when applied to the chest or back. Historically the leave from the eucalyptus plan have been used to support the respiratory system & cough, for wounds to prevent infection, and inflammation of the of nasal mucous membrane to name a few.

Lavender essential oil has a scent that’s a wonderful blend of fresh, floral, clean, and calm. Lavender may help cleanse and soothe minor skin irritations, can be soothing to the skin after a day in the sun, may help reduce the appearance of blemishes, and supports aging skin. Historically lavender flowers have been used for allergies, as
an antihistamine, to reduce inflammation and so many other uses.

DIY Hand Sanitizers and Immune Support

DIY Hand Sanitizers and Immune Support
During this troubled time I know many are scared. We have never seen anything like this before. Though the shutdowns at schools, churches, events etc. seam scary it will truly help to slow this virus down. I know we can't shut ourselves inside our homes for the next month so I wanted to share what my family is doing to support our immune systems so our bodies can fight anything that comes our way. I will highlight a few things below but wanted to share our protocol as well.

My Families Daily Wellness Routine

This is a staple in our home. I have been taking one of these every morning are a preventative measure to keep my immune system supported. For kids take a capsule and poke a pin in one end. Squeeze out a little and rub it down their spines. It will adsorb into their blood stream through the skin providing the same benefit.

*Inner Defense reinforces systemic defenses, creates unfriendly terrain for yeast/fungus, promotes healthy respiratory function, and contains potent essential oils like oregano, thyme, & Thieves to support a healthy immune system.

DIY Immune Supporting Capsule
If you don't have any Inner Defense on hand or if it goes out of stock I have a DIY recipe for you.
Recipe:
1 drop Thieves Vitality essential oil
1 drop Lemongrass Vitality essential oil
1 drop Thyme Vitality essential oil
1 drop Oregano Vitality essential oil
Clear vegetable capsule (you can get these from YL or your local health food store)
Carrier oil (organic olive oil, avocado oil etc.)

*Add essential oils to a clear vegetable capsule and fill with carrier oil. Close capsule and take immediately. (If you leave the oils in the capsule too long they will dissolve the capsule. You can make a few up in advance just be sure to put them in the freezer in a glass jar.)

Good Hand Hygiene
Hand sanitizers are a great way to keep the germs at bay when you are out and about. Most conventional hand sanitizers have toxins that you don't want seeping into your skin. * Use 100% Aloe Vera with out a bunch of added ingredients. Try you local health food store of Amazon.
*Make a hand purifier using vodka instead of rubbing alcohol.

Another great way to keep things clean and sanitized is Thieves Spray. Spray your hands, surfaces, toilet seats, door knobs etc.

*Make a cleansing spray using vodka instead of rubbing alcohol.

Diffuse to clear the air
While some can work from home others can not. You can keep the air you breathe in clean in your workplace by diffusing Thieves essential oil. Another tip is to add a few drops of thieves to a decorative scarf and breathe in the clean :) Does this virus have you a little stressed out? Diffusing essential oils can help create a calming environment

Clean and Healthy diffuser recipe
6 drops Thieves
4 drops Citrus Fresh

Healthy and Energized diffuser recipe
6 drops Thieves
2-4 drops Peppermint

Calm and Relaxed diffuser recipe
3 drops Lavender
3 drops  Stress Away

While this may seam like a negative time with noting positive about it, maybe take a minute and try and look for the opportunity it can bring. We can come together as a community and help each other out. This could be through prayer and meditation, donations, watching someones child etc. This can be a time to really reflect on what is truly important and an opportunity to spend quality time with family. Maybe even writing letters to loved ones (who doesn't love an old fashioned hand written letter :) Take a few deep breaths, this will pass. If you need anything I am here to support you any way that I can.
